Senior Research Fellowships

The Senior Research Fellowship is a renewable seven-year year fellowship equivalent to a full professorship or statutory chair in the University of Oxford or to a pure-research tenured chair in the U.S.  Senior Research Fellowships are open to senior academic and independent scholars with an outstanding record of research.

The primary duty of a Senior Research Fellow is to pursue on a full-time basis a programme of academic research in Oxford. Senior Research Fellows are members of the Governing Body of the College and as such are also expected to attend and participate in all full meetings of the College, serve on College Committees, and hold College officerships.

The next Senior Research Fellowship competition will open in May/June of 2025, with positions tenable from October 2026.
