Professor Francis Brown elected to Fellowship of the Royal Society

Professor Francis Brown, a Senior Research Fellow at All Souls College in Mathematics, has been elected to Fellowship of the Royal Society. His research is in mathematical physics and algebraic geometry.

He said, ‘I am very grateful for this recognition of an area of research which has historically been under-represented in the UK, and for the encouragement it gives to strengthening links between mathematics and physics.’
