Accessibility

We welcome disabled visitors and will do our best to assist you when visiting the College. However, due to the historic nature of the College, not all areas are fully accessible to wheelchair users or those with significant mobility difficulties.
A wheelchair for visitors' use is available from the Lodge. 

Access via the main entrance involves two steps. Visitors requiring step-free access are asked to contact the Lodge in advance so that ramps can be provided or alternative arrangements made

Disabled Parking

Limited Blue Badge parking may be available on the High Street:

  • to the east near the Queen's Lane Coffee House 
  • to the west of the bus gate opposite King Edward's Street  
  • on the double yellow lines immediately to the East of the loading bay outside the lodge (for up to 3 hours, restricted hours) 
  • in the loading bay to the East of the bus gate outside restricted hours (i.e. after 6pm) 

It may also be possible to arrange parking for disabled visitors in:

  • the Warden’s Drive 
  • Radcliffe Square

Visitors wishing to use these facilities should contact the Lodge well in advance.

Disabled Toilet Facilities

Accessible toilet facilities are located:

  • off the Front Quad (near the Bursary) 
  • within the Library (for registered readers)
     

Traffic Restrictions

A bus gate operates on the High Street immediately east of the College entrance (7.00am–6.30pm). During these hours, vehicles may approach from either direction but must not pass through the gate.
