Dr Alexandros Hollender
I have been a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Theoretical Computer Science at All Souls College since 2021. During the academic year 2022-2023, I intermitted my fellowship to spend a year at EPFL as a postdoctoral researcher hosted by Mika Göös. My research interests lie mainly in Algorithms and Computational Complexity, including applications in various fields such as game theory, fair division and optimization. In particular, I am very interested in total search problems (TFNP) and the various complexity classes that arise in their study, such as PPAD, PLS, and CLS. I completed my PhD at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Paul Goldberg. I previously obtained an MSc in Computer Science from Stanford University, an engineering degree (diplôme d'ingénieur) from Ecole polytechnique, and a BSc in Mathematics from the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
