Politics and International Relations
Examination Fellow since 2024

I am an Examination Fellow in Politics and an MPhil student at the Department of Politics and International Relations. My research interests include national and ethnic identity formation, democratic backsliding, and the politics of the European integration. My MPhil thesis examined how ethnic power-sharing institutions shape the emergence of inclusive national communities in contemporary multi-ethnic states. I am also working on projects investigating the behaviour of judges from former socialist countries at the European Court of Human Rights, and broader issues in European Union public policy. Methodologically, I am interested in the intersection of comparative politics and political theory, as well as mixed-methods research and the philosophy of social science.
