Examination Fellow since 2022

Olana is an Examination Fellow, elected in 2022. Her doctoral thesis is on the experiences of overseas students from Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean in Britain, and their participation in the student movement of the 1960s. She is also interested in histories of race, decolonisation, and contested public spaces, and has been associated with the Rhodes Trust and the Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation (IHJR) in the Netherlands.
