Life Sciences
Senior Research Fellow since 2024

I am a Senior Research Fellow at All Souls College and the Department of Biology, University of Oxford. My research interests lie at the interface of Evolutionary Biology and Microbiology. Antibiotic resistance in pathogenic bacteria is causing a global crisis that is undermining human health and prosperity. My research seeks to understand the fundamental evolutionary processes that drive the spread and stabilization of resistance in pathogen populations. Increasingly, we are interested in understanding how viruses that infect bacterial cells can be used as an alternative strategy to either prevent or treat bacterial infections. My team addresses these problems using a combination of experimental and computational methods in collaboration with UK and international research groups.
