Lawn Tennis at All Souls

All Souls College played an important role in the beginnings of Oxford University tennis. Founded in 1878 by members of All Souls, including the future Warden, William Anson, and Worcester College, the club organised an early men’s doubles championship whose results were later incorporated into Wimbledon’s records.
